Our software is our Service

The DSi Mobile Manager is a transport solution that can be used as a stand-alone application or in conjunction with DSi Service Manager and/or Transportation Manager. Mobile Manager incorperates a two-part system into your workflow, allowing centralized information to be accessed by dispatchers via desktop web portal and by drivers via certified mobile devices.

Dispatch Web Portal

Features

The most basic function and feature of the Mobile Manager client is displaying your assets on a map, but its abilities go much deeper. In Map View, those "dots" are color coded to show connectivity status for each truck, and clicking a truck's icon allows access to "breadcrumb mode". Through this location history tool, dispatch can track where each vehicle has been for the past day, the past week, or any given time period.

Geofencing is an integrated aspect of Mobile Manager. Set operational areas for tracked vehicles, individually or in groups, and receive alerts when they cross GPS-set boundaries. Instant dispatch notification of a truck going beyond its parking or delivery zone increases driver accountability and limits unauthorized vehicle use.

Benefits

  • Equipment location pinpointing
  • Automatic data analysis
  • Instant notification of rules violations
  • Improved driver accountability

Mobile Client

Features

A range of mobile devices are available to suit your operation's needs. The DSi M507 and the Motorola MC-75 run Windows-based operating systems and feature GSM network capabilities, allowing us to build a feature-rich mobile application. Mobile Manager collects the things a driver needs to keep track of -- load status, truck status, driver status-- and keeps track of them all in one device. The menu structure groups basic functions by type, simplifying use.

The Load Status view informs drivers of their assigned tasks, including relevant locations, appointment windows, and contact information. Updates and orders are delivered wirelessly, as assigned by system rules, or dispatch action.

Built-in GSM capabilities allow drivers and dispatchers to exchange pre-written or freeform messages. From any screen on the mobile device, a driver can see if a new message has arrived. After navigating to the Message view from the main menu, drivers can read new or archived messages. Drivers needing to communicate with dispatch in writing can reply to an existing message, or write a new one, sending it to all dispatchers, or individually selected recipients.

GPS tracking is a standard part of our mobile client, and turn by turn navigation capabilities are available.

Benefits

  • On-the-go load management
  • Integrated communication with dispatch
  • Reduced paperwork through eLog
